High Plains Blues Society is continuing our mission of supporting and promoting live blues music with another concert on July 14 at Avogadro's in Fort Collins. This will be our 4th HPBS Show of 2024, we hope you have been enjoying the shows. So far our earlier shows have employed The Delta Sonics, Peaches Embry & the Rhythm Train, Mojomama, 50 Shades of Blue, The Rhythm Allstars, Johnny Johnston, David Michael Boy & Blue Hideaway, along with Luck of the Draw. We are trying to keep our focus on providing live blues here in Northern Colorado and hope you will be joining us and supporting our efforts. This time around we have another group of talented HPBS member acts for you:
The Buzz Brothers Acoustic Trio focuses on traditional American folk music of the past, particularly blues and country blues of the 1920s through the 1950s. The trio will play classics by the likes of Blind Blake, Bo Carter, Muddy Waters, Sonny Boy Williamson and Jimmy Reed, while also adding in a few of their own originals in the spirit of the traditional blues style.

The Bluelligans are torchbearers of tradition, breathing new life into the music while staying true to the roots that came from the Mississippi Delta, drawing inspiration from Muddy and Wolf, Feddie King and Jimmy Reed. With deep roots in the blues- jump blues, traditional blues, all blues with a passion. Their sound is infused with soulful melodies, gritty blues riffs, and foot stomping rhythms that capture the essence of the music that is at the heart of all American music-the blues.

The Robert Wilson Blues Band is a 5 piece eclectic blues band featuring harmonica, piano, guitar, bass & drums, enhanced by 5 part harmonies. They play a soulful mix of originals & obscure blues, jump swing, jazz, & rock blues. All the members are seasoned professional musicians with roots from Pittsburgh, Kansas City to California. They are a fun dance band that audiences enjoy dancing & listening to! The Robert Wilson Blues Band will not disappoint!
